The client came to us wanting to refresh their tired and impractical terrace area. Originally finished in dated crazy paving and edged with box hedging that was difficult to maintain, the space felt cramped and disconnected. Our brief was to create a cleaner, larger, and more accessible outdoor space that would be both stylish and easy to care for.
We began by removing the existing side steps and building up the area to match the height of the rest of the terrace. To ensure proper drainage and protect the property's damp course, we installed small slot drains running along the house. The new terrace was finished with elegant light grey 600x900 porcelain slabs and charcoal flow-point grouting for a crisp, contemporary look.
To enhance safety and style, we fitted custom-made balustrades that matched the home’s front turning circle, and installed new stone stairs at the front. Finally, the area was landscaped with matching stone planters to add texture and greenery without adding upkeep.
